Centennial Celebrations at Eastwoodhill Arboretum

Eastwoodhill Arboretum, in conjunction with Thos Corson Holdings Ltd and the Gisborne Herald, invites you to celebrate 100 years of history with a host of entertaining events over Easter April 2 - 4, 2010.

You can buy tickets to one or any of the events below by filling in a centennial registration form. There will be no door/gate sales for any ticketed events. Ticket sales close on March 24.

Please do not bring wine into the park, you will be able to purchase it from the Wines of Gisborne site at all events.

April 3, 2010 - A day in the park.

Saturday will see a whole host of activities in the park, anyone is welcome to come along and normal entry prices will apply.

The day features our most talented local artists creating environmentally friendly sculptures at different locations throughout the park. They will be accompanied by a musicians and you can cast your vote for best sculpture by making a gold coin donation with your favourite artist.

We will have children's activities, an Easter Egg hunt, new tree trails, music and much more. Internationally renowned bug man Ruud Kleinpaste will even host a children's tour. Refreshments are on hand throughout the day at Eastwoodhill's own Tasty Leaf Café - however if you want to be sure of lunch you can pre-book using the registration form.

Sunday's speakers series, hosted in the marquee at Eastwoodhill, offers a rare opportunity to engage in the fascinating insights of three exceptional speakers. Registration for this event includes lunch. You can buy tickets to two speakers or three speakers depending on your preferences. Please fill in the centennial registration form to get your tickets.

  • You may register for just one event or any number of events - simply download the centennial registration form.
  • Registrations close March 24. Your registration is not complete until paid in full.
  • Buses will be available each day and will leave from the Gisborne Information Centre and other places. These will be confirmed nearer the time and you will be notified.
  • Cancellations will be refunded in full up to March 20, 2010. Cancellations after this will incur a fee of 25%.
