Summer 07/08

This summer promises to be a fantastic time at Eastwoodhill.  Our new Education Officer, Maree, has put together a flier with some great suggestions for family activities in the park and we have the children's Explore and Learn sheets ready for the summer season.  4x4 tours will be running daily from Boxing Day to New Year's Day and on weekends throughout the summer holidays.  There is so much to discover here - pack a picnic and come and spend the day.  Check out all the events below and contact us if you have any questions!

Sunday 10th February -  Presentation by Landscape Architect Thomas Woltz

We are thrilled that world-renowned New York based Landscape Architect Thomas Woltz will be joining us in February to share some of his experience with us.  Thomas will be known to many in the Gisborne area through his work on Young Nick's Head Station with John Griffin.  The company of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects has been chosen to design the landscape architecture for the 2,200 acre Flight 93 National Memorial - the site where the plane, Flight 93, went down on 9/11.  Tickets for this event are limited and sure to go quickly - on sale to the general public from 10th January on a first come, first served basis.  The cost is only $50 per ticket to include morning tea and lunch: call the office on (06) 863 9003 on or after 10th January 2008.

Sunday 16th March - The Eastwoodhill Long Lunch  with Claire Egan and Te Ua Houkamau - sponsored by Pultron Composites.

Eastwoodhill is very sorry to have to cancel this year's Long Lunch.  This was sadly due to slow ticket sales.  We were all looking forward to a really splendid occasion this year and to those of you who bought tickets we apologise that we were unable to go ahead.  We know that Claire and Te Ua support Eastwoodhill and would be willing to perform here on another occasion which is something that we can look forward to...
