Guided Tours
A range of guided tours are offered to suit all types of visitors.
Comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate attire is highly recommended to enjoy the arboretum and gardens. The guided tour averages about one hour and can be adjusted to accommodate your schedule. You may want to allow additional time to enjoy the gardens and grounds after the guided tour.
Complement your tour with gourmet box lunches, a buffet lunch or tea at the Douglas Cook Centre overlooking the arboretum or in the Homestead Garden. Catering and prices are available upon request.
Prior bookings with the Eastwoodhill Visitor Centre office are essential for all tours. Advance reservations and a minimum of 10 people are required to qualify for a group rate. Groups of less than 10 may pay a minimum charge for the guided tour. Complimentary admission is extended to one group leader or tour manager and the motor coach driver.
Walking tours of the arboretum
An enjoyable walking tour with knowledgeable staff.
One hour- $5 per person plus entry fee per person. (Minimum charge $50 per group with entry fee)
Two hour- $10 per person plus entry fee per person. (Minimum charge $100 per group with entry fee)
Chariot tours
Duration: 1hr.
Highly recommended for senior citizen groups, visitors with restricted mobility and those on a tight schedule. The four wheel drive ‘chariot’ is able to seat up to 10 people comfortably.
$10 plus entry fee per person (minimum charge $50).
Curator's botanical tour
Duration: 1 hr
A tour with the curator viewing some of the special flora and fauna in the arboretum. Walking or chariot tour option available.
$15 plus entry fee per person.
