How to get here

Eastwoodhill is situated approximately 35 kilometers northwest of Gisborne - a 30 minute drive through the picturesque Ngatapa Valley on the Wharekopae Road.

From Gisborne

Follow signs to Napier. Drive over Waipaoa River bridge. Turn right off roundabout.
An Eastwoodhill signpost is approximately 50metres along the Wharekopae Road after the roundabout on the left hand side. Eastwoodhill is 23km from this point.

From Napier

Follow signs to Gisborne. At Waipaoa river bridge roundabout drive straight through the round about, do not turn right to Gisborne.

From Opotiki

Follow State Highway 2 past Te Karaka to Gisborne. About 5km past Te Karaka the brown tourist signs will indicate where to turn off SH2 onto Laverham Road. Follow the signs through Patatahi to Eastwoodhill. Eastwoodhill is approximately 36km from SH2 and Laverham Rd.

There are no public buses to Eastwoodhill.

The ride to Eastwoodhill through vineyards and Ngatapa Valley is a pleasant yet challenging bike ride through a picturesque and excellent farming area.
The ride will take just over 1 hour from the roundabout.
