The Blue Walk is the flattest walk, which wanders through The Circus, Corner Park and Pear Park, and includes some of the oldest plantings in the arboretum.

- Brown Walk

- Easy to moderate (steep if walking to the top of the Pinetum).
The Brown Walk is our conifer walk with many examples of the cone bearing family to admire. The walk takes you through Orchard Hill, The Pinetum and returns through Douglas Park.

- Purple Walk

- 1 hour (2 hours if walking to the top of Eastwoodhill).

- Moderate (steep in sections on extended trail).
The purple walk has many of our finest vistas as it follows many of the ridgelines through Eastwoodhill with the extended walk taking you up to the highest point.

- Yellow Walk

- Easy to Moderate.
The yellow walk meanders through Douglas Park to China Corner along Bob Berry Walk into Mexico Way and down into Glen Douglas (the last area Douglas Cook planted before he died in the 1960s). The walk then returns through Cabin Park.

- Red Walk

The red walk weaves through Douglas Park and Cabin Park, incorporating the early native tree plantings of Douglas Cook in Yunnan Court and later plantings in the Native Reserve.

- Moderate to Hard, steep in some sections.
The Green Walk encompasses much of the arboretum and takes the visitor through both, the open and forested areas of the arboretum. A walk for the true tree connoisseur an adventurer with half a day to spare.
