Now Blooming: Camelias

Dates: daily through Spring

Location: Eastwoodhill Cost: Regular entry costs apply

Camelias are a Winter-blooming flower in Te Tairāwhiti and Eastwoodhill is lucky to have a wide variety. Camelias are planted across the park, adding splashes of colour on a variety of trails. When much of the Autumn foliage has dropped to the forest floor, the blooming camelias add a vibrant Wintertime joy to the Park.

While Eastwoodhill is known for its colourful Spring and Autumn, and its lush and verdant Summer, Winter visitors are treated to extra sunlight, native bird activity, and winter colour of camelias and other flowering plants. Eastwoodhill is open daily from 9am to 4pm.
