I grew up on a farm by the sea north of Gisborne.
I did my nursing training in Christchurch, travelled, and worked overseas for a couple of years then returned to Gisborne, married, and spent the next 36 years living on a farm near Eastwoodhill.
My husband and I have since moved to a horticulture block on the Poverty Bay flats and established an apple orchard.
