Guided Walks & Vehicle Tours

For visitors wishing to get more out of their visit to the arboretum or for those short on time, we have guided tours available.

Guided Botanical Tours

Eastwoodhill offers a range of guided tours to suit all visitors’ abilities and interests.

Vehicle Tour: $40pp (includes entry), minimum 2 people
Group rate available for 12+ people

Walking Tour: $40pp (includes entry)
Group rate available for 12+ people

A guided tour with a member of the curating team of Eastwoodhill is one of the very best ways to enjoy Eastwoodhill and discover new and amazing facts about the national arboretum and the 25,000 plants and trees it contains.

Guided tours take about 40 minutes and can be adjusted to accommodate your schedule, but we encourage you to allow extra time to enjoy the gardens and grounds after the guided tour.

  • All guided tours must be booked at least 2 days in advance.
  • Guided tours run between 10am-3pm daily. Tours outside of these times can be arranged through a special request.
  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate attire.
  • Complimentary admission for one group leader or tour manager, and the motor coach driver.
  • Gourmet box lunches, buffet lunch or tea at the Douglas Cook Centre available on request (additional costs apply).

Three easy ways to pay for entry

Thanks for supporting Eastwoodhill by paying for your entry. Look for the sign on the outside of the Visitor Centre, then pick whichever option suits you.

Park 9am to 4pm daily
Visitor Centre 10am to 2pm this weekend

Arriving outside those hours? No one will be at the desk, so use one of the options below.

  • Scan the QR code

    Pay online through our payment system. The code is on the sign.

  • Cash in the honesty box

    It sits next to the Visitor Centre door. Check the admission prices before you set off so you can bring exact notes.

  • Bank transfer

    Bank details are on the honesty box. Take a photo if you are not getting service.
